Featured artist’s images are used when no images are available from a site, which leaves 800 x 600 pixels of screen space we use to feature a new contemporary artist.

Our current featured image is Kieren Reed, from his solo show at Ritter/Zamet, London. Reed’s practice moves from drawing to large scale installations, and uses traditional architectural techniques to reconfigure historical design icons such as domestic objects, external structures, and simple machinery. Slowed down through a meticulous studio practice, and repositioned to audiences through public recontextualization, simple objects are made to function in ways counter to their dominant static formalist vocabulary.
